Emmy Awards 2010: The 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, presented by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, took place on August 29, 2010. NBC will broadcast the event, which will take place at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Late Night host Jimmy Fallon hosted the telecast. This was the first telecast to be televised live coast-to-coast since the 34th ceremony held in 1976.
Nominees and winners:
The nominees for the Emmy Awards 2010 were announced live on Thursday July 8, 2010, at 5:40 a.m. PDT (12:40 UTC) at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood, California. Joel McHale and Sofía Vergara announced the nominees.
The drama to receive the most nominations was Mad Men, with 17. The comedy to receive the most nominations was Glee, with 19. The miniseries to receive the most nominations was The Pacific, with 24.
