Jessica Simpson’s ex-husband Nick Lachey and his longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo have announced their engagement after fours years of dating.

The couple said in a statement: “We’re excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and we look forward to a wonderful future together.”
“They’re so happy, doing great,” a source adds. “Thrilled about it.”
According to another source, Lachey proposed with an Asscher-cut diamond with baguettes from Bader & Garrin.
“I popped the question on bended knee,” Lachey tweeted Thursday. “I do a lot of squats so my knees are very strong.”
Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo started dating in 2006 shortly after Lachey divorced Jessica Simpson.
Vanessa Minnillo is a former MTV VJ and aspiring actress. She guest-starred on CSI: NY last year alongside Kim Kardashian, an ex-girlfriend of her new fiance. The engagement news comes just days before the couple celebrates joint birthdays – Lachey will turn 37 and Minnillo 30 on November 9.
