Ex-Wife of drug lord “American Gangster” Frank Lucas nabbed in Puerto Rico. She is busted over alleged cocaine deal.
The one-time beauty queen and former Mrs. Frank Lucas wife of a 1970s heroin dealer and the legendary drug king was arrested on Thursday.
Julianna Farrait is married to Frank Lucas, the famous Harlem heroin dealer who was arrested in January 1975 at New Jersey. Lucas was convicted and sentenced to 40 years in prison. He was released in 1991.
She was the wife of a 1970s heroin dealer who inspired the movie “American Gangster” has been arrested. According to the officials, she tried to sell 2 kilograms (4 pounds) of cocaine at a hotel in Isla Verde Carolina, Puerto Rico.
Julianna Farrait, 70, was nabbed inside hotel after handing over the drugs in exchange for $60,000 in cash, sources said.
The DEA Special Agent John P. Gilbride who is in Charge said, “They say life imitates art and this arrest proves the point yet again. Like in the movie the ‘American Gangster’ Frank Lucas was known to have made millions of dollars peddling heroin throughout the streets of New York City.”
“Well, his wife has taken up his role by trying to sell two kilograms of cocaine in Puerto Rico with the goal of sending them to be sold on the New York City streets,” he added.
