New Years Eve Party Ideas for Kids: For most adults, a New Year’s Eve party seems pretty easy to plan. But if you’ve got a pack of young ones, then New Year’s Eve party ideas for kids may be in order. Depending on how many kids you have and their ages, a kids New Year’s Eve party can be a snap.

Targeting New Year’s Eve party ideas for kids: The biggest challenge of New Year’s Eve party ideas for kids is targeting age groups. Letting kids younger than 10 stay up until midnight could be very difficult, for example. New Years Eve Party Ideas In New York City (NYC)

Spending New Year’s in New York City is a dream for millions of people, but for most of us in the city, we know the crowds in Times Square are horrendous. Instead of being herded like cattle and having to stay stationary for hours at a time just to stare at a ball (or MTV’s alternative, Snooki dropping from the sky), why not find somewhere fun and affordable to ring in 2011? Almost every borough has a fair share of interesting parties, but the main concern is the cover charge versus the experience—which party is worth the bill?

Brooklyn is known for its epic warehouse parties, but how about one in an airline terminal? For just $30 advance (on sale until Thursday night) or $40 at the door, Brooklyn party veterans Winkel and Balktick bring us W&B Airlines, an airport/TSA-themed celebration in Susnet Park. For those of you familiar with this summer’s Forbidden City, W&B Airlines will features similar installations by local artists and collectives as well as disco, house, techno and dubstep jams by the area’s popular DJs. Tickets are available on their website.
Of course for many people, Manhattan is really where the party is at. While The Standard Hotel is offering a black tie affair and concert by Marianne Faithfull upstairs for $250, for those of us who just want to dance, they are also hosting Nouveau York’s party, DFA Records NYE at Le Bain. Featuring performances by Holy Ghost, House of House and Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem, the party is sure to please disco-happy hipsters who have extra money to spend on a great New Years bash. While advanced GA tickets are sold out, door tickets are still available for $50.
