Cristiano Ronaldo announced that he had become a father on Facebook and Twitter at the weekend. The statement said, the child’s mother wishes to remain anonymous and has agreed to leave the footballer as sole guardian.
The 25-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother, Delores, and sisters Elma and Katia are preparing to raise the child, according to the Portuguese newspaper Correio de Manha.
The family is reportedly dealing with the paperwork necessary to move the baby from the US to Portugal. Ronaldo has homes in Los Angeles and Miami.
When Cristiano Ronaldo declared on Twitter he had a love child with an unidentified woman. Than one fan who seemed unfazed by the news was Ronaldo’s Russian model girlfriend of six months, Irina Shayk, who, according to sources, is not the mother of the newborn.
The couple spent a romantic Fourth of July weekend together in New York City, Ronaldo’s first trip to the Big Apple.
On Friday, the day after his son was born, Ronaldo hung out with Shayk at the Four Seasons hotel bar. Then on Saturday, the couple were spotted cuddling around the pool and taking pictures at Soho House. Also, they were seen taking a romantic helicopter ride around the city and dining at Da Silvano yesterday.

CRISTIANO Ronaldo has had a baby? Want to see pictures?
No, the baby is not what Ronaldo tells the woman in the chemists as he shops for wipes, private creams and nipple rub. He has an actual baby. And the mother is Russian model Irina Shayk. Or not.
All we know is that Ronaldo is a dad. We know this because someone called Ronaldo said on their Facebook page. And to corroborate the happy news, it says the same thing on Ronaldo’s Wikipedia page, too. Such are the facts.
Ronaldo doesn’t have an agent to do this for him? Ronaldo uses social media to publicise his life.
The media laps it up.
Says Ronaldo’s Facebook page:
“It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy. As agreed with the baby’s mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship. No further information will be provided on this subject and I request everyone to fully respect my right to privacy (and that of the child) at least on issues as personal as these are.”
