Princeton Review Party Schools 2010-2011: As parents start to think about packing up the family vehicle and shipping their beloved off for freshman year, some students bound for the University of Georgia no doubt just got a little more excited. The Athens, Ga., school has claimed the No. 1 ranking as the top party school in the nation on The Princeton Review’s latest list of raucous campuses.
As usual, state schools made up the vast majority of the top 10, with Ohio University coming in just behind UGA. DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., was the smallest school among what might be deemed the Beer Pong Pantheon.
Administrators would, understandably, prefer that their respective universities be recognized for academic and social contributions instead of recreational ones. Some also criticize the survey, conducted voluntarily by e-mail across 370 colleges, for being unscientific.
