Apple will live stream its Wednesday press event, the company announced on its Web site.
“View streaming video from Wednesday’s event starting at 10 a.m. PDT,” according to a note on apple.com.
PC owners are out of luck, however. To view the live stream, which will utilized Apple’s HTTP Live Streaming, users will need a Mac running Safari and Mac OS X version 10.6, Snow Leopard. It will also be available via the iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 3.0 or higher, and on the iPad.
The Wednesday event, which will be held in San Francisco, is largely expected to include a refresh of the company’s iPod line. There have been a variety of rumors about what else Cupertino might unveil – including 99-cent TV show rentals, a revamped Apple TV known as iTV, Netflix streaming on Apple TV, a mini 7-inch iPad, and longer lengths for iTunes music previews.
PCMag will be at the Apple event. Be sure to follow our live blog on Gearlog.com for all the latest news from San Francisco.
