cheryl-cole-file-for-divorce-against-husband-ashleyUK singer and ‘X-Factor’ judge, Cheryl Cole filed divorce divorce proceedings against her husband, Ashley. She has told cheating husband Ashley to stay out of her life.

Cheryl Cole said: “I never want to see or hear from you ever again. Please respect that.”

The 26-year-old is thought to be seeking a “quickie” divorce which could be completed before Ashley Cole’s first potential World Cup match on 12 June. The singer filed papers at the high court in London yesterday. Her offer would reportedly let the Chelsea player keep their £6m mansion.

A source told the Sun that Cheryl “made a swift decision to put England’s World Cup dreams ahead of herself. The divorce should be finalized before England’s first touch of the ball in South Africa on June 12. She knows how vital it is for Ashley to have a completely clear head and concentrate entirely on his football and performance, with no distractions or emotional pulls.”

In February, just before the couple split, it was claimed explicit pictures of the footballer were sent to the glamour model Sonia Wild and that he had sex with Vicki Gough, a 30-year-old secretary at Liverpool. The US political aide Ann Corbitt also claimed to have had a fling with the footballer. She told the media he said he would die if he lost his wife over their relationship.

Ashley is expected to play for the England’s team during the World Cup in South Africa this summer after returning to fitness at the end of Chelsea’s title-winning season.

Cheryl Cole found fame with the girl group Girls Aloud and the couple wed in 2006. Thanks to a string of lucrative TV, music and advertising deals she is worth more money than her husband, with a personal fortune of £10m, according to the Sunday Times Rich List. Her X-Factor TV fee is expected to exceed £1m next year and she is expected to receive a special “golden handcuffs” deal worth seven figures to keep her at ITV. Cole is also the face of Coca-Cola Zero and L’Oréal shampoo.
